Math Meet on Oct 12

FHMS will be dismissed at 2:35, Heritage at 2:55. This is a change from the schedule you have.
Make sure your permission forms are signed and returned to the office or bring them with you.

First Meet Info

FIRST MEET - OCT 12
1. Go to the attendance office first thing in the morning or at lunch to get an early dismissal pass.
2. Leave your last hour class at the time noted on the pass, (2:35 for FHMS, 2:55 for Heritage) go to your locker and get what you need for the evening. Then go to the round area by the bus loop doors. I will meet you there.
3. If your parents are going to pick you up at SPA, give me a written note.
4. We get on the bus, have a snack at SPA, do the meet and return to school. (Heritage 5:25, FHMS 5:40)

Get those permission forms in! Turn it in to the office by Monday morning or you will not be allowed to leave early or catch the bus.

Definitions:
Factor - any number which divides evenly into our number. The factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12
LCM - lowest common multiple The LCM of 12 and 18 is 36
GCF - greatest common factor    The GCF of 24 and 32 is 8
Prime - divisible only by itself and 1   The primes between 40 and 50 are 41, 43, and 47
Factorial - 4! (say "four factorial") means 1 x 2 x 3 x 4 = 24
Negative numbers are numbers below zero. Adding a negative is the same as subtracting a positive.
    Subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive. Example: 5 - (-3) = 8
