Everyone missed this problem: (Tell your teammates to look here for the answer, because I have a feeling there's going to be one like this on the test.)
Write in scientific notation 205 x 10-8
Use that principle that you can always multiply by one without changing the value.
So let's multiply by 1/100 x 100.
= 205 x (1/100 x 100) x 10-8
= (205 x 1/100) x (100 x 10-8) Using the associative principle of multiplication
= 2.05 x 10-6
Another way to look at it is "if I change 205 to 2.05 I'm making the number smaller by two decimal points. To balance it out I have to make the 10-8 bigger by two decimal points. So the answer is 2.05 x 10-6
